Benjamin is a freelance cinematographer based in London. While studying photography at school, he formed a love of making small art films and found great inspiration from a wide range of filmmakers from Polanski to Argento. It was at this time he realised he wanted to become a cameraman.
He started his journey into film working in various roles within the camera department on productions like Hyde Park on Hudson, The Program & Pirates of the Caribbean along with many other films, television dramas and commercials.
Whilst working under cinematographer Franz Lustig on How I Live Now, Benjamin was given the chance to operate an additional camera and shoot some second unit and aerial photography, an opportunity he regards as instrumental in pushing him into shooting his own work.
Benjamin has spent the last few years working as a Director of Photography on various music promos, documentaries & short dramas. Recently HoneyBlood’s Ready for the Magic, shot on 16mm film, picked up an MVA at the 2016 awards.
